
About Dr. Boucher
Zachary Boucher, MD practices general surgery in Lakeland, Florida. Board Certified in General Surgery, he sees patients from the entire Central Florida region. In addition, patients have traveled internationally to have surgery with Dr. Boucher. He operates out of Lakeland Regional Health, a state of the art 870 bed hospital. He specializes in minimally invasive robotic surgery for the treatment of abdominal hernias, gallbladder disease, benign colon disease, all facets of emergency general surgery, peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, and soft tissue lesions. His passion is hernia repairs in patient's who have had failed repairs in the past. He has a passion for teaching and has trained surgeons from all over the world on the technical aspects of robotic surgery. He has a faulty appointment of Assisatant Professor from Nova Southeastern College of Medicine as well as Orlando College of Medicne. He trains medical students as well as surgical residents. He performs around 400-450 hernia surgeries annually and is consistently one of the highest volume hernia surgeons in the staten of Florida.
Dr. Boucher received his bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida where he graduated summa cum laude. He then attended medical school at the University of Florida before completing surgery residency at the University of South Florida. He is a Florida native who is dedicated to his patients. His passion is providing quality and empathetic surgical care. He feels strongly that the advantages of minimally invasive surgery with smaller incisions lead to faster recovery time and fewer complications.
